In response to the growing needs and development of Nam Sai Gon International General Hospital in recent years, the nursing team has received dedicated attention and support to gradually build a professional image — well-trained, competent, and equipped with essential skills to fulfill the hospital’s overall healthcare mission.
Professional Training On Dietetics For Nurses At The Hospital
On the afternoon of July 14, 2022, the hospital organized a specialized training session titled: “The Role of Nurses in Organizing and Managing Nutrition Activities in Hospitals”, with the goal of evaluating and enhancing the hospital’s nutrition practices.
The training featured a lecture and sharing session by Dr. Do Thi Ngoc Diep, Specialist Level II, Vice President of the Vietnam Nutrition Association and a well-known nutrition expert in Vietnam, with numerous impactful scientific studies in the fields of nutrition and food science. Also, the session gathered over 20 nurses and doctors from various departments across the hospital.
Key training topics included:
- Professional practice in hospital dietetics
- Roles and responsibilities of nurses in nutrition care
- Group discussion on implementing effective nutritional practices
The training session was designed to be practical and engaging through case studies and scenario-based discussions. It provided a wealth of useful information and sparked enthusiastic discussions among the nursing staff.
This improvement in nurse training quality plays a vital role in increasing both the quantity and quality of nursing human resources — ultimately enhancing the overall patient care quality. It also strengthens the hospital’s reputation and fosters greater patient trust, aligning with the shared mission: “Everything for the Patients”.
Moreover, the session offered a valuable opportunity for doctors and nurses to share experiences and strengthen collaboration in ensuring effective nutritional care at the hospital.
