To ensure patients’ rights and a smooth medical visit process under Public Health Insurance (PHI), Nam Sai Gon International General Hospital provides the following important information regarding PHI procedures for 2025.

Required Documents for PHI Check-ups

To ensure fast service and full insurance benefits in compliance with current regulations, patients are kindly requested to prepare and present the following at the reception counter:

1. Valid proof of public health insurance enrollment

• Original PHI card or PHI card number
• If you do not have the physical card, one of the following is acceptable:
• PHI card via the VssID app
• National ID (with integrated PHI information)
• PHI card displayed on the VNeID app

For children under 6 years old without a PHI card, parents or guardians may present one of the following documents:

• Birth certificate (original or copy)
• Extracted birth record
• Birth report (original or copy)
• National ID/ID card (if available)

If waiting for a new/replacement PHI card:

Present the Application receipt and appointment slip issued by the Social Insurance Office or authorized agency.

2. Personal identification with photo

• If your PHI card does not include a photo, please provide one of the following:
• National ID/ID card
• Passport
• VNeID app with personal information
• Other valid ID issued by authorized agencies
• For students: A confirmation letter from the local police or the current educational institution is acceptable.

Note: Children under 6 are not required to present photo identification.

3. Referral slip (If any)

PHI referral slip from another medical facility when transferred with proper referral to Nam Sai Gon International General Hospital.

Public Health Insurance Reimbursement Rates

Nam Sai Gon International General Hospital applies the official reimbursement rates in accordance with current government regulations.

Note: Reimbursement levels depend on the entitlement code printed on each individual’s PHI card.
