IN-HOUSE AIDET TRAINING FOR HOSPITAL ORDERLIES

With the goal of enhancing service quality across the hospital, on the afternoon of May 19, Nam Sai Gon International General Hospital conducted an internal training session for hospital orderlies, titled: “AIDET Communication for Hospital Orderlies”.

The training was led by Dr. Nguyen Truong Khuong, MSc, Specialist Level II – Medical Director of the hospital, and attended by members of the orderly team.

During the session, Dr. Khuong provided a detailed explanation of the AIDET model and emphasized the importance of this communication approach in daily hospital operations. Following the presentation, all participants took part in practical exercises to better understand and apply the AIDET method.

AIDET is a structured communication model designed to enhance interactions between hospital staff and patients. It is considered an effective tool to help staff build trust and foster patient satisfaction through consistent, compassionate communication.

Through this training, orderlies gained a clearer understanding of the importance of patient communication and how to apply it in their daily responsibilities. The ultimate goal is to foster a more positive perception of hospital staff and improve the overall patient experience.
